Moscow Kremlin

The Kremlin is occasionally referred to as the eighth wonder of the world by tourists. The ancient fortress complex, which is located along the banks of the Moscow River, serves as Russia's primary representation.

Its beginnings can be dated to 1147 when Moscow was still just a fortified or grand village encircled by wooden walls. Ivan III the Great ordered an improvement to the fortifications in 1485 after they had been burned down and rebuilt multiple times. The best Italian architects in the world chose to construct over them rather than demolish them, resulting in the enormous and powerful Kremlin that we know today.

The Kremlin walls swiftly rose to prominence as a representation of Moscow's significance within the Russian Empire. The Kremlin, which served as the home of the Russian czars, Soviet elite, and the executive arm of the Russian Federation today, continues to be the most exhilarating image of the nation's authority. The Kremlin, which contains the most significant rituals and meetings for the nation, is surrounded by 20 towers, some of which are actual works of art.
