Valencia's Virgin Square is in the city's center. The square has a lovely fountain, many monuments, and a lot of historical significance.

Enjoy the coffee shops that line the square, get some treats from the Central Market, and take a seat near the fountain. In the evening, a crowd of street performers congregates in Plaza de la Virgen to entertain.

Cool off close to Fuente del Tura, a sculptured fountain in the center of the square:

It represents the Tura River and the city's irrigation canals. The cathedral, church, and fountain all provide fantastic photo ops. Eight female characters are shown pouring water from the pitchers they are holding. On top of the fountain is Neptune. In 1976, Manuel Silvestre Montesinos created it.

Visitors who like architecture will enjoy exploring the old structures that line the area. Visit the Basilica de la Virgen de Los Desamparados, distinguished by its eye-catching blue dome. It was one of Spain's first Baroque structures when it was constructed in the 17th century.

The Valencia Cathedral's back entrance is close to the church.

Find the arcade in the Colosseum style and the beautifully carved Gothic entryway.

The Palacio de la Generalidad, which resembles a castle and combines Gothic, Renaissance, and Moorish architectural styles, is located on the other side of the square.

The square holds a variety of cultural activities all year round. The largest event occurs during the Las Fallas festival, the Offering of the Flowers. Watch as groups of Valencians carrying bouquets of vibrant flowers present them to a statue of the Virgin in parades while wearing traditional attire. This two-day event occurs in March.
